The upper half of the window remains completely open at all times. The effect: complete privacy at street level (the portion where passersby can see in) while the upper half brings in full sky light. It is one of the few treatments that gives you both maximum privacy and maximum daylight simultaneously.
How high should cafe shutters sit on the window?
The standard placement covers the lower half — the midpoint of the glass. We also customize the split point depending on your specific sightlines: if you are standing in the kitchen at the sink, for example, we'll determine exactly where eye level is and position the shutter panel to sit just above that line.
